Comments: Ever notice that christians are always trying to scare you to christ? They are always giving these melodramatic warnings of eternal suffering in a firey pit that the invisible man who loves us created. All im saying is I think christians are scared shitless of life itself. If heaven is so wonderful than why is everyone so scared of dying? If you truly believe that you will go to heaven than why not have a party when a relative dies?

It has been suggested that the Pharaoh of the alleged exodus was Rameses II.  Rameses II was the firstborn of Seti I.

Comments: Hey Derrick!

I just read about your "deconversion" from Christianity.

Dude! I totally relate to so much of what you said.

I also didn't grow up in a religious family. And the first three times I tried to read the Old Testament--man was it BORING!

I saw the conflict between science and the Bible and therefore questioned MY beliefs too.

But, the difference between you and me is that I really WAS a Christian.

That guy who said that anyone who wanted to be saved and have their sins washed away should repeat the prayer that he was about to say gave you a totally wrong impression.

You don't become a Christian by just repeating a prayer or by thinking to yourself, "Cool, I’m saved." Nor is Christianity about trying to lead a Christian life the best that you know how. No wonder going to church became "a regular ritual" for you. The reason that your "Christian thing" wasn’t working out was because it was counterfeit. You said you felt there had to be more to it and you were right. The truth is, if you're not a Christian now, you never were.

Being a Christian is about A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST!

It sounds like you never had that.

I believe you when you say that your life is no worse off now than when you were a Christian (since you probably never really were a Christian). But, if you turn out to be wrong and there really is a God, your eternity is going to be hell... literally. I'd hate to see that.

In reality, Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship. It's a saving faith in a Person. If you choose Him, He will be there for you. But, the choice is ultimately yours. I hope you've made the right one. Time will tell.

Will

Comments: If I had a religoius organization atheists would be a serious threat to my income, power and control. My followers would learn that hell waits for those who don't tell atheists that eternal suffering is their lot. Religion is a big moneymaker/powermaker, elsewise, ministers/ priests, etc., would be called volunteers. Why should religions save souls for free when there's so much money to be made? Afterall, would you save a drowning person for free? No you wouldn't because it might interfere with gods loving plan to end sin, good sex and free thought. (Remember the great flood when god got rid of sin by drowning babies, elderly, and disabled...that sure wiped out sin, didn't it!) What a loving god!! Jesus must have bankrolled a fortune from saving billions of souls, right? Hmmmm. Unfortunately I'm not cruel enough to wish anyone eternal pain and suffering; I'm an atheist who has unlearned religious hate and fantasy when I left the congregation. Power to this website!!!!!

Comments: Having only recently been introduced to the internet, it is very comforting to know that logic and rationality are still with us, in spite of what the far-right fundamentalist media (such as Fox 'News' - what a joke) would have us believe. Christianity is a dying religion, not a thriving one, and the sooner we eliminate this 2000 year old curse the greater our chances will be to save what is left of civilisation.

It is wonderful to know that that there exists a means whereby people of sound judgement and a rational disposition can contact and communicate with each other quickly and with little expense(the internet). Those of us who will never submit to the tyrannical travesties of the Neo-con Neanderthals and their ilk, MUST present a united front to combat their barbarism. Both Christianity and Mohammedanism have, without much doubt, been the most baneful and destructive forces to ever plague this Earth within the last two millennia, and any force that dares to position itself against the madness of monotheism deserves all the support that it can get. Keep up the good work, and let those of us who stand for reason and justice never rest until the dark clouds of Fundamentalism have been banished for all eternity.

Comments: It's kinda funny to see sites like this. I'm what you'd call an outside Christian. I don't live in the "religious box" like nowadays christians live in. I see things from a completely different perspective. First off...you use everything from the Bible as literal to contradict itself yet you are contradicting yourself at the same time. Just like any religious beliefs it is determined by faith, faith is belief in things not seen, so all in all you are saying your belifs are right and ours are wrong. Problem number one with that, how can one man prove another wrong while we are finite beings. We do not know everything so what right does one man have to say one thing is a lie. This is why there is hatred between all religions. I have athiests and satanists and every other possible religious belief tell me I am wrong and they are right...and christians turn around and tell them they are wrong...what does that do? It causes nothing but hatred. Religion in itself does nothing but cause hatred. If you choose a faith then follow it. Do not call it a religion. Another problem I thought was kind of hilarious about your contradictions is the fact that you don't just use 1 translation of the Bible. I saw from the looks of it KJV, NKJV, NIV, NASB and a few others I'm still trying to figure out what they are. I even saw a couple completely outrageous translations that don't fit even the original greek to english (and no I'm not calling the KJV original). There's so many other things I'd love to type in this guestbook but I'd be sitting here for hours typing it all and it'd be one freaking long post so I'll leave you with this. If you have yahoo messenger add "zunar5" to your contacts or if you have AIM add "ChristLivesInMe8" to your list...I would love to have a friendly debate about beliefs. It is something I enjoy very much so if you would allow me this pleasure I would very much like it.

My Response

I "use everything from the Bible as literal" because most of the people who believe the Bible, take it literally.  No where on my site do I claim to prove anything or provide proof for anything.  No where do I say that what Christians believe is a lie.  I merely point out problems with what Christians claim to be true.  Contrary to popular belief, atheism is not a religion.  I only use ONE translation of the Bible; the KJV.  I use that translation, because it is the most popular.  I defy you to show me any verse I use on my site as being from any translation other than the KJV.  If you want to debate me I have an Email address in which you can reach me at.

By the way atheism had it's turn and for now is on the outs.

What makes you think Communism and Nazism are godless systems with atheistic views?  Far from it.  The Nazi party was founded by Adolph Hitler, who stated in his book, Mein Kampf..."Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."  What was Hitler's belief system?  I don't know, but it was religious in nature.

Comments: I read your article about the flood and one of your objections was: Where did all of the water came from if it rained for only 40 days? Obviously you do not read the Bible. In Genesis 8:2 it says that the "fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped" at the end of the flood. We all know that oceans have so much water that it is possible for the earth to flood. If for example an earthquake can cause a tsunami and flood entire countries, imagine what would happen if the whole world was flooded. It makes sense then, as the Bible claims, that all the mountains were covered. Obviously the water came from the oceans as well as from rain. I also noticed that you make a lot of claims, but you do not refrence them anywhere. Where do you get your information from? When you write about the "real ten commandments" you said that the commandments included in the ark were different from the ones we fight for. Were you there when they included the commandments in the ark? You seem so certain of it but you don't give any refrences. My only conclusion is that you make things up. Any serious scholar would be interested in providing solid refrences to back up their claims. I suggest you read the Bible a little more carefully and support your claims with real refrences from real sources. Also, I read your "deconversion" and I am sorry for you that you never had a real relationship with Jesus. If you had ever had a real relationship you would never want to give it up. I will pray for you.

My Response

OK Miha, try to keep up.

The Flood

If you take the surface area of the earth (including the oceans surface) and completely covered it with water, where as the water was roughly 20 feet above the highest point; you would need nearly 5 billion cubic kilometers of water…Give or take a few million cubic kilometers.  This does not include the water already in the oceans.  All the water on the earth…all of it…only amounts to a little less than 2 billion cubic kilometers…Give or take a few million cubic kilometers.  Even if the oceans of the earth were used to help flood it, you would still need almost three times as much more water to cover it with a depth of over 29,000 feet.  Where did this virtually 5 billion cubic kilometers of water go?

The Ten Commandments

In Exodus 34, God commands Moses to hew 2 more tablets of stone so that he can recreate the commandments that were broken earlier by Moses.  So now Moses has a fresh set of commandments; although they are different from the original, these are the “ten commandments”.  The Ark of the Covenant is made in Exodus 37.  Because the commandments in Exodus 34 would have been the only ones in existence; they would have been the ones place in the Ark.

Comments: I find it strange how athiests are so hostile to the person of Jesus Christ. If you dont believe, why are you so bothered? Noone sets up websites against the tooth fairy or santa claus! It is the person of Jesus that athiests dont like and i think its because deep down they resent him because they know it could be true. Please stop rebelling against Him , He loved the world so much he died for sinful humans. And in love he warns you to repent and believe. 1 John 4v10 "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" To accept or reject Christ is the most important decision we will all ever make. I'm not stupid, i wasn't from a Christian home, I am a scientist yet when I looked myself at the evidence for Christianity as a student at uni I was overwhelmingly convinced it was true. I know I'll believe this for the rest of my life. Please consider Christ yourselves, reading the Bible with an open mind. Surely if the consequences are eternal its so important to do it ourselves.

No one sets up websites against the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus, because no one has ever killed in the name of the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus.  No one tries to force their belief in the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus upon others.  No one takes the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus seriously, except for children; who eventually grow up and learn the truth.  The problem with Christians is that they never grow up.

I am interested in talking to people who have ideas similar to mine about why our society "needs" religion to keep things in order. I believe it is used to keep people under control. Please contact me with your thoughts. I find it a very silly religion that can cause a lot of harm.

Comments: It's amazing what you can find when searching for Christian sites!
You put across the worries of every agnostic/atheist- but as many have said before me, you have made mistakes that show your lack of real understanding of the bible.
I come from quite a charismatic church and see God work his miracles everyday. Some may try and explain these things are mere "coincidences"- but I know the truth.
I’m not here to do a massive impressive and long preach, but to tell any readers that the decisions you make in this life, even now reading this page will affect your eternity. If you do not accept Jesus as your saviour then you WILL be judged. I'm a sinner and I don't want to be judged! Accept Jesus today.
Don't let the words on this site that are wrongly misinterpreted take you from the truth.
Any questions, feel free to email

You have not "disproved" the existence of God, Jesus the Christ, or any orthodox Christian tenet.

To argue that by showing an "error" in the Bible, the MOST you could disprove is inerrancy...the argue otherwise is a non-sequitur.

This site is not meant to disprove the existence of God.  This site is designed to show problems with the reasons people believe in such a god.

Comments: Interesting site. Of course the really sad part is that mankind is still talking about religion. It is the single most destructive and harmfull force in the world, and the greatest enemy of truth. The christian faith is built upon the most absurd contradictions, an all powefull all seeing all good God that prosides over a world full of death and destruction ! The answer ? freewill !! surely the most vacuose and plain dumb reason ever argued by people of supposed insite .
The arrogance of faith is also mindboggling, to claim to have all the answers yourself and then call atheists the arrogant one(as I have often heard) shows the warped mindset that religion can bestow upon its victims. As an atheist and ration thinker i claim to know little about the amazing universe in which we live, but even I know the world isnt flat and 1 + 1 isnt 3.
