Comments: This is an interesting account of your beliefs. You have been rather thurough in your research and I understand your skepticism. I, personally, am Catholic but I have a lot of friends that are proclaimed atheists and agnostics, so I have heard a lot of arguements from their side. It is true that there are a lot of hypicritical, uneducated christians, and frankly I believe that is not the way to go about practicing ones beliefs. It is people like that that give christians a bad reputation, but likewise it is people like that in general that give any organization a bad reputation, whether it be religious, business etc... To end, I would suggest reading The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins as well as Confessiones and De doctrina Christiana by Augustine of Hippo that way you have two very different views for your arguements. Read them with an open mind please.

Comments: First, great page, I love it.

Second, a small correction (maybe)
On your "Morals" page, you mention both assisted suicide and euthanasia. Isn't euthanasia a form of assisted suicide?

Also, in the survey below, you can click both an option and None.

Comments: You've never known God just "about" Him. No matter what you believe, the truth is that at the end of this life we will all meet our maker and those who do not know Him will not be His and will be destroyed. Those who know Him will live with Him FOREVER! Your problems you have with the Bible are because you have never known its author. Now you can live in sin without judgement which is very comfortable for you...however when life hits...you will find yourself alone. I challenge you to call out to the God of the Universe and ask Him to reveal himself to you UNTIL He does. I challenge you to read the new testament and ask God to reveal the truth to you. The reason you reject God and the Bible have nothing to do with inconsistences, but lies from demons. Knowing God truly is not some emotional experience, but seeking Him with ALL of your heart, not half-heartedly....and diligently reading His word, and asking Him to draw near to you, putting Him first in life, asking Him to give you insight into life in every situation. You must realize that there is something to this. You can't just dismiss something based on YOUR lack of understanding...it doesn't make it go away and you are still left with your sin. God is HUGE and everywhere...beyond our little tiny intellects. The truth is that some of us are comfortable and we WANT to reject God so that life is easier-BUT that's the lie...it starts off easier and gets much, much, much harder. With God it starts out hard and gets easier. There has been nothing more exciting than to have this relationship with God and see, feel, experience Him work. I have been so amazed and shocked at how He works. He is specifically, personally interested in ME and....YOU. Taste and see that He is good!

Comments: i dont think that most people are trying to be "hit and run" christians, they just dont know who you really are, i mean what if your a phyco athiest person? i think most people who are christians just feel bad about the way that you've directed your life. we are allowed to have are opinion just as you have by having this website. for your own sake even though you may think that i'm just a dim -whitted christain i think you were a christain who experienced pain and their life and blamed god for it. i'm sorry for whatever has happened in your life, everyone has something though and you have to know that your not alone. i think thats were god comes into play. if you really an athiest i think you'd feel more alone than ever, but maybe that's just me. when your a believer and put time into it than i don't think your ever truly alone. someone loves you, and even though you don't believe he still loves you even thought your pushing him away. It's not faith if you use your eyes. i wish you the best of luck on your spiritual journey and its never to late to turn back - even though its hard and embarrising and i'm not say that you want to, i don't even know you, but best of luck my friend, we are all brothers.

Comments: Hi.

What a wonderful website. The links work, they light up when you hover the mouse over them. You do know how to make em good.

As an arguer, however, I demand more to be convinced. It seems as though you're just blowing air. Toughen your arguements up with geniune attempts at disproval. That means more than simply revelling in your own thought and wisdom. If you want to be an atheist then fine. But how is you preaching your non-belief any different from evangelism?

The bible is a book of life, much like what is going on around you now. You will find there is as little evidence disproving God as there is to prove. If you actually bother to do it properly, that is. Then you may choose atheism or theism with a clear mind.

Mind you, as an atheist I can imagine the sex must be damn good.

Comments: i'd like to point out something.

you say people are happy to point out that you cant nit pick and then do this themselves, but then do it themselves.

understand that they often do this with knowledge of what they talk about

for example, one of my favouraite verses that i am happy to quote is one from Job, discussing age. i use the single verse, but put into context its meaning does not change. the speaker is talking still (in context of both the whole of the book and the temperal context), about the same thing.

if someone cannot explain why they have used a verse to just throw out of the bible they should not.

Comments: I took a look at your page, and its pretty much things that can be explained. You sit there in the "Excuses" section and dismiss every way Christians respond to these things. The thing is, that you do so, because if not, then there is no valid point to your arguments. I could easily go through and counter everything you said, logically, but yet you wouldn't believe it, because then it would mean you are wrong, and pride is a hard thing to get rid of, eh?

Comments: all very interesting of course but does not answer the million doller question
of WHY? are we here. The bible is fascinating and I believe the true word of God. Your athiest bible if there is one would be the shortest book ever written on its on page would be the words "I dont believe in anything."
May God be kind to you and bless you and show you the way

Comments: this site f***ing rules! the main thing i hate about christianity is the ignorance. i mean, im all for believing in stuff, but f***, its called BEGIN REALISTIC when you admit you MAY be wrong. christians i sometimes dont mind, but i hate ones that are so absolutely sure their right. by thinking they know for sure, would kinda be like saying they worked out god and how IT works. face it, god could be real but you dont actually f***ing know. as for this site, everything in this website is genius, this site has become my bible!

Comments: I have read what you have to say and I dissagree. I suggest that you should look for material from Dr Kent Hovind. He is a creationist and has many vcd's that you can download for free from his website. You can find his website via google.co.za. I ensure you that you will find alot of the answers regarding the Bible and Evolution, the Ark, etc.

God bless.

Comments: Good website, very interesting views from your perspective. I like the way you look at many of the points you discuss.

I would suggest, in your section on "Problems with the Christian Faith", in the Bible page, that you look into and discuss the origins of the Bible and its development.

While called a "book", it is really a compendium of disparate documents, most of which we don't really even know the authors of! Even where we do, copies we have today, are, at best, third generation copies written decades or centuries after the originals. In the meantime, errors and changes have been made in the copying, both accidental and deliberate, some of which are almost vital to the doctrinal content. So, given these facts, how can we believe anything this "book" tells us?

I think such a section would be a great addition to your website!

Comments: I just think you should not read and try to understand everything at once. Many things in the Bible are metaphors and need to be read with help. Maybe another time I could talk a little bit more with you. (I'm sorry for my bad english.) By the way: I started not believing in God and know I believe... strange, the opposite from you. And against the statistics I'm educated, etc. See you later. Bye.
